eKitabu presents accessible digital content at the 2019 UNESCO Salamanca Conference in Cali, Columbia
The 2019 International Forum on equity in education – known as the Salamanca Conference – is organized alongside the 25th anniversary of the World Conference on Special Needs Education, co-organized by UNESCO and the Ministry of Education and Science of Spain in Salamanca, Spain. The Salamanca Statement lays down the fundamental principle of inclusive education: “All children should learn together, wherever possible, regardless of any difficulties or differences they may have. Inclusive schools must recognize and respond to the diverse needs of their students.”
This year’s conference was held September 11th to 13th in Cali, Columbia, focusing on innovative policies and practices to advance inclusion and equity in education.
