eKitabu Collaboration with Benetech – Bookshare

eKitabu is collaborating with Benetech through their Bookshare.org project to offer reading materials to the print disabled in Kenya especially the most vulnerable group, children. Through their representative from India, Dr. Homiiyar and Zainab, Bookshare did a pilot project at the Thika School for the Blind – Primary and Secondary Schools under the Inclusive Education for all. The representatives also met MOE Directorate of Special Needs Education (MOE-DSNE), Kenya Union of the Blind (KUB), Kenya Institute for Special Education (KISE), Kenya Institute for the Blind (KIB) while in Kenya.
